You've indicated that you want to time a distraction called Custom Distraction. Follow the instructions below and use the timer to see how long the distraction takes.

Start Reset
  1. Begin with both hands positioned as if you were holding a steering wheel.
  2. Start timer when a hand is removed from the steering wheel to perform a distraction (eg. answering a phone call) or when your eyes are not focused on the road ahead (eg. turning and checking on children in the back seat).
  3. Perform the distraction as naturally and realistically as possible. Imagine you're attempting to keep an eye on the road while performing the distraction for a realistic time.
  4. Stop timer when both hands are back and positioned as if you were holding a steering wheel or when your eyes are fully focused back on the road ahead.

Do not attempt to time distractions in a moving vehicle.
